We are converting all Hoosier Hills Credit Union Personal and Business debit cards to the Visa brand, which provides additional features and benefits. We are particularly excited to share news of your card’s contactless and mobile wallet capabilities!

When will I receive my new Hoosier Hills Visa Debit card?
New Hoosier Hills Visa Debit cards will be mailed in three waves to be received by members
November 1 – November 30, 2023. -
What about my existing Hoosier Hills debit card?
You may safely dispose of your previous Hoosier Hills debit card after activating your new
Visa debit card. All previous Hoosier Hills Credit Union debit cards will be automatically disabled on
December 31, 2023. -
How can I help ensure proper and timely delivery of my new card?
It is essential that we have your current address on file for you to receive your card in a timely fashion. If you have moved recently or have any question regarding the accuracy of your address on file, please call our contact center at 800.865.2612, or visit your local service center to validate your
address. -
What are contactless capabilities?
Your new Visa debit card includes the latest technology in support of contactless transactions, which
means you do not have to insert your card into the point-of-sale terminal. Instead, you can tap or
hover your card 1-2” over the front of the point-of-sale terminal to pay. Each transaction includes a
unique code, helping protect against fraud, keeping your information safe. If you prefer to continue to
insert your card into the terminal, or swipe your card to pay, you may continue to do so.For more information, visit this page.

What is a mobile wallet?
A mobile or digital wallet is a virtual wallet on your mobile phone or watch which stores your card information for ease of use when paying, freeing you from having to use your physical card. About a month after their issuance, all new Hoosier Hills Credit Union Visa debit cards can be added to your mobile wallet, and will be compatible with Apple Pay®, Google Pay™ and Samsung Pay so you can pay simply and securely with just a touch of your phone or mobile-enabled watch!

What about the automatic/recurring bill payments paid with my existing Hoosier Hills debit Card?
Once you receive and activate your new Visa debit card, you will need to update your automatic payment information to reflect your new Visa card number, expiration date and security code with merchants who regularly bill this account or have your card on file. Use CardSwap to update your card information with over 55 online services and merchants all at once.

Will my account terms change with the new card?
Other than a brand switch from MasterCard to Visa for some members, all account terms will remain the same.

No, there is no cost associated with this change.

Will other users on my account receive a new card, too?
All cardholders on your account will be sent a new card and must also activate their new card when they receive it. Please remind those users to update their card information for subscriptions or with merchants who regularly bill their account or have their card on file.

Will charges I make using my new Hoosier Hills Visa debit card still come from my checking account?
Yes, all payment purchases, whether made in-person, online or via phone transaction, will be deducted directly from your checking account just as before, and will appear on your monthly statement. ATM withdrawals using this card will come directly from your checking or savings account, as selected by you at the time of your withdrawal.

How do I activate my card? Do I need to visit a service center?
Your new card will have a sticker on its front face which will display the number for you to call for
activation. Simply dial the number listed (800.992.3808) and follow the instructions provided. There is no need to go to a service center to activate your card, but if you need help, feel free to come in! We will be glad to assist you.
