Why am I receiving a new card?
We are transitioning the Hoosier Hills Credit Union HSA MasterCard card to a Visa card, which will provide additional features and benefits. We are specifically excited to share the news of your new card’s contactless capabilities.
-
What are contactless capabilities?
Your new HSA Visa card includes the latest technology in support of contactless transactions, which means you do not have to insert your card into the point-of-sale terminal. Instead, you can tap or hover your card 1-2” over the front of the point-of-sale terminal to pay. Each transaction includes a unique code, helping protect against fraud, keeping your information safe. If you prefer to continue to insert your card into the terminal, or swipe your card to pay, you may continue to do so.
-
Will my account terms change with the new card?
Other than the switch from the MasterCard brand to the Visa brand, other account terms will remain the same.
-
Is there a cost associated with this change?
No, there is no cost associated with this change.
-
What will happen with automatic/recurring bill payments paid with my existing HSA MasterCard?
Once you receive and activate your new HSA Visa card, you will need to update your automatic payment information to reflect your new HSA Visa card number, expiration date and security code with merchants who regularly bill this account or have your card on file.
-
When will I receive my new Hoosier Hills HSA Visa card?
You will receive your new HSA Visa card mid-to-late September 2023. Be sure to activate your new card upon receipt. If you have NOT received your card by October 2, 2023, please call us at 800.865.2612.
