Hoosier Hills Credit Union has always felt strongly about being a part of the communities we serve. In 2021, we took our commitment to a whole new level as HHCU became the first credit union ever to the Join Pledge 1% program.
HHCU employees really raised the bar! We gave 1,750 hours of time during 2021 to serve our communities. Some employees served individually; others participated in group projects.
As an organization, we were out improving our communities in so many ways.
Our newest Service Center is located in Ellettsville, Indiana. To celebrate our newest community and help serve their needs, HHCU chose three Ellettsville-based charities to support with a donation of $10,000.
Wear to Care is a voluntary donation program where employees select a local charity and donate money through automated contributions in exchange for being able to wear jeans on Fridays.
Employees raised $12,000 and HHCU matched those donations dollar for dollar, making the grand total raised for local groups $24,000.
Hoosier Hills wants to leave a legacy of giving to its communities. Being a member of Pledge 1% helps the credit union achieve that goal.
HHCU has put into place the infrastructure to guarantee a progressively generous and lasting legacy of caring and giving within its communities.
