In observance of Christmas, all Hoosier Hills Credit Union Service Centers and Drive-Up locations will be closing at noon on Tuesday, December 24th, and will remain closed on Wednesday, December 25th. We will reopen for business beginning Thursday, December 26thwith regular business hours.

Though our physical doors are closed, our virtual doors are open 24/7/365, and you have continual access to your accounts through our network of ATMs, Online Banking and Mobile Banking. Whatever your banking needs may be, we’re here for you!

What are contactless capabilities?

Your new Hoosier Hills Credit Union Visa debit cards include the latest technology in support of contactless transactions, which means you do not have to insert your card into the point-of-sale terminal. Instead, you can tap or hover your card 1-2” over the front of the point-of-sale terminal to pay. Each transaction includes a unique code to help protect against fraud and keep your information safe. If you prefer to continue to insert your card into the terminal, or swipe your card to pay, you can continue to do so.

How to Use Your Contactless Card

1. Look for the contactless symbol at the payment terminal

2. Tap your card on the front of the point-of-service (POS) terminal

3. Wait for a beep or green light before removing your card

4. Follow any instructions on the screen – you might have to sign or include your PIN

I want to apply to purchase a home, but what address do I enter if I haven’t found one yet?
If you're home shopping you may simply enter 123 Anywhere Street, Town, and Zip of your shopping area.
After I apply can I make changes to the term or loan amount?
Yes! Some changes can be made once you have a signed purchase agreement, based on qualification.
What if I don’t have an account with HHCU?
No worries! You are welcome to apply, we can open your membership later.
What documents do I need to fill the application out?
No documentation is needed to complete the application. Helpful items could be current paystub or W2
What do I do if I get an error message while applying?

If I don’t have a home in mind yet, what do I enter for purchase price?
You can enter what your personal max spending amount would be, keep in mind we can change the amount, based on qualification.
Do I have to have a down payment to purchase a home?
Not at all, we have options for borrowers with no downpayment.
How much do I need to put down to purchase land only?
For the purchase of vacant land, you must put down 20% of the purchase price.
What loan product do I want?
We have many loan products available from 100% financing, conventional mortgage, land loans, construction loans, refinancing options, and more.
How soon after the application will I get a call back?
Our goal is always reach out to applicants’ same day, if after hours the following business day.
Who will be handling my loan?
We have many Mortgage Loan Offices across our servicing marketing, you may choose one you wish to work with or the Service Center closest to you.

How long will it take for the loan to be completed?
Although this may vary depending on the individual loan, our goal is 30 days or less from the time we receive needed documentation from borrower.
How much will I be charged in closing cost for a mortgage?
There are many items referred to as closing cost. At HHCU we charge a Mortgage Origination fee of $995.00, plus third part fees needed to complete your loan. For example, but not limited to, title work fee, appraisal fee, taxes, homeowner insurance. After completing application, you will be provided with a Loan Estimate with a breakdown of cost.
What are your fees for Mortgages?
HHCU Origination fee for a purchase or refinance is $995.00
Does HHCU service my Mortgage?
Yes, even if your loan was to be sold HHCU reminds all servicing.
Is my Mortgage rate fixed?
Yes, our purchase and refinance Mortgages are fixed rate/term.
Do you charge any prepayment penalties?
No HHCU does not charge to pay off early.
Do you have a minimum credit score?
HHCU has options available for no credit score.
