After I apply can I make changes to the term or loan amount? 
Yes! Some changes can be made once you have a signed purchase agreement, based on qualification.

What if I don’t have an account with HHCU?
No worries! You are welcome to apply, we can open your membership later.

What documents do I need to fill the application out? 
No documentation is needed to complete the application. Helpful items could be current paystub or W2

What do I do if I get an error message while applying? 
You may reach out to our Mortgage Desk at 800-865-2612 Ext 438.

If I don’t have a home in mind yet, what do I enter for purchase price? 
You can enter what your personal max spending amount would be, keep in mind we can change the amount, based on qualification.

Do I have to have a down payment to purchase a home? 
Not at all, we have options for borrowers with no downpayment.

How much do I need to put down to purchase land only? 
For the purchase of vacant land, you must put down 20% of the purchase price.

What loan product do I want? 
We have many loan products available from 100% financing, conventional mortgage, land loans, construction loans, refinancing options, and more.

How soon after the application will I get a call back?
Our goal is always reach out to applicants’ same day, if after hours the following business day.

Who will be handling my loan? 
Our Mortgage Loan Officers serve Members across all our market areas. You may work with the loan officer of your choice, or stop by the Service Center closest to you.

How long will it take for the loan to be completed?
Although this may vary depending on the individual loan, our goal is 30 days or less from the time we receive needed documentation from borrower.

Does HHCU service my Mortgage?
Yes. Even if your loan were to be sold, HHCU will continue to handle all servicing. You’ll still work directly with us for payments, questions, and support.

Is my Mortgage rate fixed?
Yes, our purchase and refinance Mortgages are fixed rate/term.

Do you charge any prepayment penalties? 
No HHCU does not charge to pay off early.

Do you have a minimum credit score? 
HHCU has options available for no credit score.
